Areas of expertise

Laparoscopic Surgery

Over the last years, a major development in General Surgery was brought by the discovery of Laparoscopic Surgery. Unlike classic open surgery where operations are performed through large incisions in the abdomen, in laparoscopy the General Surgeon performs the operations through very small incisions with the help of a telescope and special surgical tools . With the use of the telescope, we can see the internal organs enlarged on a high-resolution screen, while with specially designed tools that enter the abdomen through small holes, we perform the operation.

In recent years, the development in Laparoscopic Surgery has been significant and now in all specialized centers abroad it is performed as the first choice in a wide range of operations, both simple and complex.

The main operations performed laparoscopically are the following:
Appendectomy
Esophageal achalasia
Stomach perforation
Gastrectomy
Colectomy and colon procedures
Bariatric surgery
Rectocele
Hiatal hernia and gastroesophageal reflux
Cholecystectomy
Splenectomy
Adrenalectomy
Hernia repair

The advantages of Laparoscopic Surgery are impressive:

Small surgical incisions
Quick recovery and quick return to work
Minimize postoperative pain
Less blood loss and fewer postoperative complications
Better cosmetic result

Minor operations with lazer

Minor surgery involving the skin and soft tissue is performed under local anesthesia in the doctors private office. The operations are performed using the latest CO2 and diode laser technology.

The advantages of using a laser are:

Small surgical incisions
Better cosmetic result
Less painful

It must be emphasized that the cost of minor operations carried out in the doctors office is particularly economical, as we avoid the cost of a private clinic.

COMMON OPERATIONS

The most common operations performed in the office by General Surgeon Kyritsis Alexandros are:

Melanoma of the skin
